Well, here I am, five weeks in Chiang Mai. Time literally flies when you’re at Agape and living in this incredible community. So much is happening in the lives of all those around you – the kids finished school this week, some of the older young adults graduated, and for the toddlers, well, watching ‘Hi-5’ every morning just never gets old.
Just like any family, we’ve started to have a few more visitors these past couple of days, including students from Macarthur Anglican School from Australia, and even some German students from an international school here in Chiang Mai. Church is always encouraging – I attend Abundant Grace Church with all of the older kids, always being motivated towards embracing who Jesus is.
One very special time was on Friday night, when we had our first Cell Group with the teenage guys! Testimonies were shared, the Gospel was proclaimed and we had the honour of praying for all the teenage boys at Agape. One young man said that after the night, he dedicated his life into the hands of Jesus like never before. The atmosphere was FREEDOM! Some of the other boys said they just feel ‘light’. This week we meet similarly with the teenage girls, and ask Jesus to pour out His Spirit again on us all. Exciting times!
I love that doing life with Jesus looks so different across the world, yet is so similar – we have a God who is ALWAYS with us, for us and unconditionally in love with us. With a God like this, life is never flat!
Please, be encouraged, God will use you wherever you are, no matter how you feel or if you think you can or cannot – God’s desire is to put His Spirit on ALL people (Acts 2:17-18) so that you can walk with and in the same power as Jesus. Be blessed!
