When He’s Welcomed

#Pure Joy

I have had the privilege of serving here at Agape for nearly three months – I actually leave to go home a week today. I would like to share one testimony that encouraged me greatly to have experienced.

After our first two cell groups with the teenagers at Agape, we had a combined boys and girls meeting for all the middle-aged kids (about 10-14). It started off normally… We worshipped and we prayed, which was so powerful and God’s praise was heard loud and clear as Amnuy lead us on guitar.

Avis and the cell group leader, Mae Boom, shared afterwards. However, right as Avis was in the middle of sharing, the electricity turned off! We were in the dark… but Jesus had His plan. Avis and Boom started to pray out loud and Amnuy continued to play. The power of the Holy Spirit fell in the room and the kids joined us in praying out loud and began to worship at the top of their voices. It was incredibly beautiful to see kids with their hands raised, and some even face flat on the ground as they kneeled.

We then started to lay hands on all the kids. Quiet sniffles turned into weeping as the kids encountered the love of Jesus. I believe the Holy Spirit was ministering deeply to the kids, as after we had prayed, they simply came around each of us and enjoyed the embrace of family. It was one of the most incredible moves of God I have ever had the opportunity to witness. I was speechless.

God loves these kids so much!

Out for lunch and a movie with the guys

A few weeks ago, we saw ten kids decide to publicly declare their faith and be baptized in the Agape pool. Avis asked them three questions – do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Do you believe that He died to forgive you of your sins? Have you welcomed Him into your heart?

As the kids responded, once again, the Spirit of God touched them and they just cried as they proclaimed that Jesus Christ is their king.

God is moving in Agape – if you spend any time with Jesus and ask Him about His heart and plan for this place, His excitement will bubble over into your heart, because this place honors Him, and He is welcomed. And with His Presence, everything is possible.

Bless you so much! Step into everything He has for you and to do through you!

This past week one of Avis's long lasting dreams finally came true when Agape hosted an Australian team who painted the fencing surrounding our kids pool. This fence was paid for by an Australian woman ten years ago and Avis has been eagerly waiting to see it in bright colors. We are feeling beyond blessed for their time, energy and service during their time here and are very pleased with the outcome of their hard work! They are welcome to come back and enjoy the pool anytime!

Agape Home has officially finished our Dental Clinic and got to use it for the first time this past November(2022). Smiles for Everyone Thailand brought Volunteers to Agape Home to provide dental care to all of our kids on site and also to 25 kids from a local government orphanage. A few of our kids who had graduated from Agape in previous years were working at the dental clinic at the time and were also able to come as volunteers to help. They spent time assessing all of the children for any dental issues and then correcting any problems that were found. Smiles for Everyone Thailand has agreed to visit Agape again in the next few months. Our goal for this year is to have a volunteer dentist come to Agape each month to maintain our children’s dental care along with providing care to children from other NGOs and government orphanages in the area. We are so thankful for this new resource at Agape and are looking forward to how the Lord will use it in the future.
